Awards Banquet The CFA Regional Awards Banquet was held on June 10, 2000 in Oxnard, California at the Mariott Hotel. The awards were for the May 1999 to April 2000 show season. GP, RW ChestnutRose of Selkatz CFA's National Best of Breed in Premiership for 1999-2000 The Banquet was lots of fun. My table was filled with my Tonkinese friends and a lot of my other cat show friends were there. I am so thrilled that Chester was named CFA's National Best of Breed in Premiership and National Best of Color in Premiership. Chester was also Region 5's Fifth Best Cat in Premiership, Region 5's Best of Breed in Premiership, and Region 5's Best of Color in Premiership. Chester was such a trooper at the shows and really enjoyed them. He always greeted my friends with a kiss as they walked by our benching area. He is such a sweet, loving little boy, that other exhibitors would come by especially to visit him. He was such a ham in the ring, always alert for the judges and looked forward to playing with the judges on the table. If the judge did not present Chester with a toy right away, Chester would look around the table to find his own toy! I am very proud to say that most of Chester's points were obtained right here in the Southwest Region. Chester did so well at the Region 5 shows, we didn't need to fly around the country looking for bigger shows. We did however, go to some shows in Northern California to see our favorite judges and friends, and that was a lot of fun. He was also star at those shows.
