The last show of the season was put on by Tonks West on April 29-30, 2000. The show was held at the Oaks Middle School in Ontario, California. Chester and I had lots of fun! We were very sad to see the season end because we had such a great time and met lots of neat people.
Chester however, went out in style! He was the Best Tonkinese Premier in Show and I was so thrilled. We got lots of ribbons and at the end of the show we were honored with a plaque which was presented by Lois Carney, president of Tonks West. Chester has his name and date of the show engraved on the plaque. The plaque will be passed on each year to the Best Tonkinese Premier in show. Thanks, Lois, for such a lovely tradition. Chester was also presented with a beautiful ribbon as Best Tonkinese in Show from the Tonks West cat club. The plaque and ribbon are proudly hanging in my home.
Chester started out the season on a high note. He was the Best Tonkinese Premier in Show and the Best Allbreed Premier in Show at the very first cat show of the season in May 1999. So, sit back, relax and watch the slide show of Chester as he ends his career.
