Chester is a champagne mink. He is the love of my life. We are great buddies and have a very strong bond. We had so much fun throughout the show season and Chester became CFA's National Best of Breed in Premiership. We met lots of nice people and made some good friends, especially Chester.

Chester really likes people and would insist on giving everyone a kiss, so his human friends would come over to our benching area just to get one of those fabulous kisses. At his last show of the season in Ontario, California, Chester was the highest scoring Tonkinese in show!

At only 10 months, Chester became a Grand Premier. You can see from the red photos his full color has not come in. Chester is very light in color. This comes from a specific gene called the "Barrington Gene," which was identified by ACFA judge Don Shaw in his Burmese cats back roughly 40 years ago.

This has also been referred to as the "Banana Gene" because of its effect on a cat's color. The lightening factor seems to come from Purr-Palace Burmese, in particular, a cat named Purr-Palace Risky Prince

Oliver is a platinum mink. This little boy is my first Tonkinese. I bought him as a pet, but I wanted to show him, so I showed him in CFA for a whole season until he granded. I really enjoyed going to the shows with him. I met so many nice people who helped me learn about showing. I decided to take the next step, get a show cat and go for a regional.
